One of my favorite books The Unbearable Lightness of Being features a bowler hat in the story as kind of a sex symbol. I recently bought a bowler hat with the intention of including it in some form of art, but unsure what exactly I was going to do with, and I found something-self portraits! Isn't the idea of a bowler hat as a sex symbol kind of strange though?

Sarah Photo Session
Valerie Davenport, my sister and a fellow photographer, set up this session with Sarah and I got to tag along and get a few snapshots in. My sister has the best ideas, like including Sarah's banjo in the session. Plus the gnome and other woodland creatures was a very nice touch, good job Val!

Miss E
Photo Excursion
I love going on excursions with other photographers. It gives me a lot of insight and even some fresh ideas into my compositions. A few days back I went through the Boise foothills with Matt, who specializes in 35mm photography instead of digital. He's got a lot of technical knowledge (he knew so much more about my camera than I did, and I was a little embarrassed!) and quite an eye.
I mostly watched but managed to find a couple shots that I thought were worth something.
